The faces at St. Jadeno's Orphanage are a tapestry woven from the threads of war. Some children arrived clinging to faded memories of loving parents, the smoke of burning
villages still clinging to their clothes. Others came silent and withdrawn, the horrors they witnessed too raw to express. A few, like the small boy clutching a singed teddy bear, bore the physical scars of conflict – a missing limb, a jagged burn etched across their skin. The Sisters welcomed them all.
They understood their nightmares, their sudden rages, their
moments of utter despair. In the quiet halls of St. Jadeno's, amidst the whispered prayers and the clatter of cooking pots, these children, survivors of a world shattered, began the long Journey of piecing themselves back together. Now they form a new family.
